April 2011 - Bulletin Announcements
We are working on updates!!! If you are new to Liberty Street C.O. G. (in your mailbox is a blue sheet with needed family information). Please place these in the secretary's mailbox. Also, if you do not have a mailbox, call Tammy @ 226 - 8672. You are important to us & we need to keep you updated on all activities.
Please let the Church Office know if you would like a copy of any of our Sunday morning sermons. We send to our shut-ins on a weekly basis.

Reminder - Mother/Daughter Banquet on May 7th. Sigh up sheet @ the Welcome Center. You can always adopt a Mother or Daughter for the evening.
Youth Camp Forms are available - see Pastor Jonathan or the Church Office to get your registration. This is for the completion of grades 3 - 6 & Jr./Sr. High. Get your forms in ASAP & don't forget the health form, too.
Ladies - "Revive" Women's Retreat @ Whitehall Friday April 29th - Saturday April 30th. There is still time to sign up. Call Whitehall for your reservation today.
Youth Rummage Sale coming up!!!! We are now taking donations for the rummage sale that will be held on July 8th * July 9th. Please place all items in the Narthex by the coat rack. YOUR TRASH IS OUR TREASURE!!
We are asking for Mother/Child pictures. We need 5 X 7 or 8 X 11 pictures in frames. We need them by May 1st. They will be returned to you. Please put your name on the back of the frame.
We will be offering a "live worship service telecast" in the fellowship hall to help accommodate the seating needs of our growing church! Praise the Lord! Anyone is welcome to check it out & share in this new worship extension. With the video recording of the service this way, we will also be able to improve out outreach to our shut-ins by giving them our worship on DVD.. We will keep you posted as to when this "Live Feed" will begin.
Are you or someone you know graduating from High School or College? Do they attend here at Liberty Street Church of God? Please call the office with their information/ (Where, when, & their future plans). We want to honor our Graduates!

Bible School - June 20 thru June 24 - We know it's early, but it takes a lot of preparation & efforts to plan & organize VBS, especially when last year's numbers were close to 100!! Praise the Lord! If you are interested in helping in this year's VBS, please complete the registration form & place it in Wendy Ferguson's mailbox.

The Caring Hands Committee is in need of an update. We need to update our list of ladies who are willing to help minister to our fellow sisters who may need some TLC. You can do this by helping provide a meal/meals to one of your sisters who may have just had a baby, or been hospitalized, or have had surgery, or a death in their family. A bulletin board will be created with church families' business information at the end of February. I encourage each of you to provide a business card or any relevant business information. This also could include babysitting information or other service items as well.
Without the knowledge of what each other does, we are not able to have the opportunity to support one another through this realm.

A Calling for Ministry - Jenna & Maya Miller would like to send items to Support their Uncle & others overseas risking their lives for us.
If you have a loved one you would like to be included in receiving these items, please see Tracy Miller or contact her @ tmhm72@yahoo.com. Please place all items in the identified box in the Narthex by the Welcome table.
Items encouraged are: Bibles, books, DVD's, snack items, puzzle books, games, cards, "Nerf balls", & other small items. Money is also appreciated to offset the cost of mailing these items; please place money in Tracy Miller's church mailbox.

Update: Our THIRD package was just sent to the troops! The third box went out to Roxanne's nephew. Thank you to our generous congregation for the donations toward this mission. I am on the lookout for another person. Please contact me with any names and addresses of someone in need!
The Social Committee is looking for people to help with funeral dinners. There have been 3 team leaders chosen & we are looking for people to be part of a team. If you feel a calling in this area & have your mornings or afternoons available, please sign up in the Narthex to be put on a team. Questions can be directed to Debbie Martin @ 226 - 5735. We have 2 sign-up sheets in the Welcome Center for those wishing to help w/Funeral Dinners. 1 list is for helping with the dinners & a second list is for funeral dinner cake baking.
Are you creative? Use your gift by designing a bulletin board for a holiday in 2011 or for a Christian theme to encourage our church. Some materials will be provided through the church office or other resources. Contact Jacqueline Morrone @ 226 - 4035.
