The primary task of any congregation is to make disciples for Jesus Christ as described in The Great Commission, Matthew 28:16-20.
Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
The Liberty Street Church of God would like everyone to participate in Bring a Friend to Church. This is a great way to invite “unchurched” friends to our worship service. Getting an individual to attend worship for the first time is often the most difficult of all the steps leading toward commitment to Jesus Christ and every member of the congregation should be involved in the task of evangelism. Please use this opportunity to reach out to the unsaved in our community.
